Emma began turning heads in 2016 after winning RBC Bluesfest’s “She’s The One” competition, a Canada-wide talent search for emerging female artists. The “She’s The One” judges were captivated by Emma’s voice and her ability to deliver an emotive live performance. Emma’s renditions of “Sweater Weather” by The Neighbourhood and “Life of the Party” by Shawn Mendes earned her top honours, along with a chance to produce her own material. Her debut single “I Don’t Sleep” has surpassed 400,000 streams on Spotify since its release in July 2017. It peaked at number 16 on the CBC Radio 2 Top 20 chart, and reached number 1 on CKDJ 107.9’s first Top 10 of 2018.
Since winning the “She’s The One” contest, Emma has worked with some venerable names in the Canadian music industry, including multi-platinum, award-winning producer Rob Wells of The Fourth Floor writing team, (Sony ATV), 5 time Juno Award Winner, 5 time Canadian Classic Award Winner and Grammy Nominee Alan Frew, Glass Tiger (Capitol) as well as Robyn Dell’Unto (Fontana North), Kayla Diamond (Maple Music), Kevin O’Brien, and Ezra Jordan to name a few, allowing her to hone her craft even further.
Emma has been spending lots of time in the studio since July writing and recording her highly anticipated debut album in Toronto with Rob Wells. She is also the recipient of a FACTOR JSR grant, and an OAC sound recording grant.
Alan Frew, Glass Tiger, Capitol – “Having worked with numerous young artists over the last 15 years or so I feel that Emma is one of the top talents to walk through my studio doors”.

Bob Nesbitt, Producer, Ottawa Grassroots Festival - “she really has talent and I predict she’ll go far”.
